Sarah
Sarah is a perfect in-between seasons jacket - just right for cool days in lieu of a coat. The half-fisherman rib is not quite as condensed as full fisherman rib, resulting in a lofty, slightly puffy fabric. Dramatic angled, drop-shoulders and oversized pockets make Sarah fun to knit and even more fun to wear!
Before Purchasing This Pattern
This pattern uses a modified COCOKNITS METHOD, with the shoulder join dropped to the back. The sleeves, however, are picked up and knitted down from the armhole opening rather than as a seamless yoke. Although this pattern features the signature Cocoknits English tailoring with the front/back join pushed to the back, Sarah does not require the Cocoknits Worksheet. The pattern includes a checklist for keeping track of instructions by row.
Special Techniques
For a description of all techniques, see Cocoknits Sweater Workshop, the glossary at cocoknits.com, and/or the Cocoknits channel at youtube.com.
The COCOKNITS METHOD is a commonsense system for knitting seamless, tailored sweaters from the top down. The Cocoknits Method is explained in detail in Cocoknits Sweater Workshop by Julie Weisenberger.
