The body is worked flat, in one piece to the armholes, where fronts and back are divided and worked flat separately. Extensions on each of the fronts form the collar. After the shoulders are seamed, the extensions are joined and seamed to the back neck. The saddle sleeves are worked flat separately, set into the body, and the saddles are seamed along the front and back shoulder edges and neck extensions. Buttons are optional and can be added once the project is complete, as yarnovers are used for buttonholes.
