Finished measurements: 8.5”/21 cm wide x 65”/162 cm long
Gauge: 23 stitches and 40 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter/slip stitch pattern in scarf using size needle to obtain gauge.
Needles: US 6 (4 mm) needle or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Yarn: Fingering Weight (CYCA #1) yarn in the following yardages:
Main Color (MC): 395 yards.
Contrast Color (CC): A total of 395 yards. In the sample scarf, five CC were used, each skein was 79 yards.
Sample made with Hand Dyed by Shaina “Shaina’s Shawl Bundle” (85% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Nylon; 394 yds /100 g) the bundle contains one 100-gram skein with 394 yards and five 20-gram mini-skeins with 79 yards each.
Other Materials: Size F (4 mm) crochet hook for Crochet Cast On, tapestry needle.
