Plumier I and II are also available as part of an Ebook - Shetland Fusion. It will be a compliation of 5 patterns, two of which are here. Plus 3 others, one other complete, except for the pattern, one under construction and the other an idea.

There are two versions of the shawl. Both are included in the pattern. Both are charted and written.

Plumier I
This two-colour version as shown is the most complex. It has a center panel and is knit in two pieces. Both pieces are the same. They each start at the short edge and are knit to the center of the shawl and then grafted together. The center panel is what distinguishes this shawl from the other. The panel is knit in a much more complex lace with patterning on both the RS and WS. This shawl could also be done in a single colour, but the two colours really highlight the beautiful lace patterns.

Plumier II
This version of the shawl is easier than the first as there is no center lace panel. It is just as beautiful, but in a very different way. It could also be done in two colours, with the center panel in a contrasting colour, for a very striking look. It is started as the first but there is no center panel, the body, or inside of the shawl is a single repeating pattern and is knit in one piece until it is long enough and then the edging is knit on as instructed. While there no long graft, there is a short graft to connect the last corner to the lace edging.

Sizes - blocked and relaxed – Plumier I – 28 inches wide and 64 inches long. Plumier II – 26 inches wide and 67 inches long. Differences in sizes, despite same st width, are a result of the differing fibres and knitters.
