Playroom Blanket
This is a crochet pattern for a fun blanket made using tapestry crochet.
The blanket is made of hexagons and half-hexagons which are joined together as you go to form an attractive repeating diamond pattern.
The pattern includes full written instructions, comprehensive pattern notes, photos and a chart for making the blanket.
It also includes links to these video tutorials about techniques used in the blanket:
General tapestry crochet – https://youtu.be/sqQxQQ-Szig
Making sure the yarns don’t get tangled – https://youtu.be/i79K04YMj6U
Ending a round and carrying the yarns up to the next round – https://youtu.be/9sBBQ1Qroas
Joining the motifs– https://youtu.be/tPCiQ2Ndw-E
The finished blanket, made with Scheepjes Softfun, measures 100 x 132 cm. However, you can easily vary the size of your blanket by making more or fewer motifs, or using a thicker or thinner yarn.
The blanket uses 10 balls of Scheepjes Softfun in a main colour (Lagoon), and 6 balls of Scheepjes Softfun in a contrasting colour (Lichen).
There are two pdf files for the pattern. One is with UK crochet terms and the other is with US crochet terms.
Crochet level: intermediate.
