DESCRIPTION
This pattern is a part of the Designers’ Dogs collaboration, the brainchild of Handworks NW and Knitted Wit. The collection is a love letter to our pups. Lorajean and her dyers created ten beautiful colors inspired by the best doggo friends of ten talented designers, and they created some real magic. Knitted Wit DK is the featured yarn, and each of the ten accessory patterns are wonderful to work with and wear while hanging with your furry friend. A furry companion comes into our lives when we need it most. Their instinct to love and protect is fierce and unconditional. I know that after a long day, the soft pitter patter of my furry friend’s feet can help to quickly ease my stresses from the day. A quick lick and snuggle can make even the hardest days so much better. The Pitter Patter Cowldana is a celebration of our furry friends and all the comfort they bring. From the warmest snuggles to the happiest of prances, this design encompasses all the things that make a furry friend wonderful! The fun and easy lace pattern reminds us of the imprint that our furry friends leave all over our furniture and our hearts.

CONSTRUCTION
Pitter Patter is a bandana cowl (cowldana) that is worked flat from the tip of the triangle to the lower neck (bandana section) and then worked in the round to create a long cowlneck.

YARN & YARDAGE
YARN: Knitted Wit (DK weight, Cat. 3, 100% Superwash Merino, 280 yd/256m, 4 oz/115 g)-One skein was used for Size 2.

YARN REQUIREMENTS BY YARDS/METERS:
280yds/256m (340yds/311m, 390yds/356.5m)

DIFFICULTY LEVEL
Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate
You will need to know how to: cast on, knit, purl, k2tog, ssk, yo, bind off

NEEDLES
Size US 5 (3.75mm) circular needles 16” (40.6cm), or size needed to obtain gauge
Size US 4 (3.5mm) circular needles 16” (40.6cm), or size needed to obtain gauge
 
GAUGE
21 stitches and 34 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Pitter Patter Pattern Worked Flat
