This hat combines my love for elephants and my love for stranded colourwork and beads. If you don’t find two-coloured stranded colourwork a challenge any more, this hat could your next project: Half of the rounds have three colours, and the beads add even more spice. The decrease rounds create a beautiful star on top of the hat.

The hat is knitted in the round on circular needles.

BEADS:
size M. You’ll string the white beads on the beige yarn, the blue beads on blue yarn, and the brown beads on white for the elephant (36) and on brown for the star (6).

size S. You’ll string the yellow beads on the yellow yarn, the purple beads on purple yarn, and the green beads on white yarn.

From January 15 to February 15 2010, a 100% of the sale price of this pattern went to the Norwegian Red Cross for their work in Haiti. 59,50 $ raised.
