He’s been crafted with playability in mind, with options for semi-poseable arms and legs, and the ability to stand on his own. Depending on your gauge, he’ll stand around 21cm/8.2inches. Outfitted with his hat and pack, Othello is always happy to meet other travellers on the road, and share a tale or two.

Materials

• Yarn - The pattern is made for DK weight yarn, but being amigurumi, gauge isn’t super important and you can easily switch it out for a different weight. Just make sure all the yarn used is the same weight and it should still work.
• Colour A: Main body colour
• Colour B: Eye/nose/accent colour
• Colour C: Backpack main colour
• Colour D: Backpack pocket colour
• Colour E: Lillypad hat colour
• 2.75mm crochet hook to keep the stitches nice and tight. Depending on your yarn you may need to go up or down sizes to match.
• Stuffing
• Sewing pins to keep things in place as you stitch them together (not necessary, but can help keep things from sliding around)
• Marker to keep track of rounds (I use an extra little piece of yarn)
• Yarn needle (or smaller if you prefer to attach pieces with thread), scissors, general etc
• Two buttons for the backpack. Mine are 1.1cm across, but the size is flexible.
