Ocean Blue Cowl
This two-sized tonal cowl begins and ends with 8 rows of 2x2 twisted rib. It features 3 slipped stitch pattern bands and 2 bands of 2x2 checks, each separated by stocking stitch. Skills required - knitting in the round, slip stitch purlwise and basic fair isle with 2 colours per row.
Three tones of the same colour work best. I used 55g of main colour (dark), 12g mid tone and 5g lightest tone. This approximates to 159m, 35m and 15m respectively if you are using your stash. Any 5 ply yarn would suit this design as long as it is comfortable next to your skin.
It is simple to change the circumference to suit your needs by adding or subtracting the stitch count in multiples of 4.
