Nunavut, a part of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement of 1993, was a huge step for the Indigenous people of Canada. I was heavily inspired by the book Split Tooth by Tanya Tagaq (writer/ poet/ singer) from Cambridge Bay Nunavut, and the Northern Lights. The lace and cables undulate across the sock like the Northern Lights across the sky at night.
