Nora baby blanket
When my niece Leonor was born, I went through another crazy
creative stage making baby knits where I only wanted to design for
her. As was the case with the Turtle Romper, it was brief and in that
occasion I only designed one pattern, this blanket, which I really
wanted her to have in her crib.
It is the second garment I design with her name. In this case I have
chosen Nora, for short. This is what we call her affectionately.
The best thing about the Nora Blanket is that it is a single chart that
repeats itself, so you can make a small one for a crib, or modify the
size to fit any bed.
NOTIONS:
To knit this baby blanket you must know how to knit, purl, i-cord
cast-on, pick up stitches, yarn over and knit two together.
GAUGE:
10 stitches per 14 rows for a 10x10 cm swatch with 6.5mm needles.
MATERIALS:
6 skeins of Malabrigo Twist. The samples have been knit in colours
Manzanilla Olive and Zinc, respectively. 6.5 or 7-mm circular
needles and an 80-cm cable.
