Nightpath
In dusky twilight the pale moon rises in the sky over the tree branches that have just now begun to bud. Warm western winds hush themselves, running over and through the bare limbs. Leaves stir and rustle along the forest floor, making small openings for new life to burst forth from thawed ground. The world has grown stiller, quieter, creating space for spring to unfurl her fiddleheads and release the gates to small woodland brooks.
This sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. Work body up to the underarm, then set aside to work the sleeves. Once you have finished the body and sleeves, you are ready to start the yoke by knitting the live stitches of one sleeve, the front of the sweater, the live stitches of the second sleeve, and the back of the sweater. The underarm stitches remain on hold and will be sewn closed when you have finished with the yoke colorwork and decreases.
