Myles of Love Shawl
This lacy shawl has the most scrumptious drape to it and while it looks semi-complicated it’s actually quite a simple repeat. The simple repetition makes it a lovely project to relax and watch tv or listen to a podcast while working on it. Great for traveling as you can mindlessly work through it. Though it’s made in fingering/sport weight yarn, it also works up rather quickly! This shawl makes a fabulous gift for a friend, coworker, or loved one. It’s beautiful and light for fall and spring or even a cool summer day. You can make it large like a shawl or go a bit smaller for a triangle scarf. You can even use it as a duel-purpose accessory as it’s so thin and light if you make a shawl and decide to wear it as a triangle scarf.
This pattern has a very special meaning. My friend recently lost her child and I felt a strong urge to create something special for her that might provide some amount of comfort and love in such a difficult time. Sometimes words are hard to find when someone you care about is experiencing a great loss. My love language is crochet and this was the best way I could express my sorrow and love to her and her family. I named this design after her son, Myles, and am hoping that you find joy in making this very special piece.
