Delicate like a down, classically feminine, minimalistic in shape and comfy. Chubby, of medium height collar embellishes this seemingly plain sweater with a slight of modernity, just like the folded cuffs. You will feel well and warm in it for sure.

Notes:
Mélanie is an everyday, comfortable and minimalistic pullover with double-layered collar and hem and simply finished sleeves. The body and sleeves are made using Stockinette stitch. The project is made using two threads to create a charming and cosy look. It is an excellent design for beginners!

The sweater is worked in once piece, from the top down. Fronts stitches are cast on using provisional cast on method and, after shoulder and neckline shaping, worked straight down to the underarm. Stitches for the back are picked up along the front shoulders. After shoulder shaping back is worked straight down to the underarm. Shoulders are shaped using short rows. Back and fronts are joined together and continued straight in one piece down to the hem. Then the bottom edge is folded and live stitches are attached to the wrong side to create a double-layered finish. Sleeves stitches are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round down to the cuffs. Collar stitches are picked up around the neck opening and worked in the round too. Then the fabric is folded and live stitches are attached to the wrong side to create a double-layered collar.
