Lux Buttoned Socks
Do you like knitted socks, but you hate working with 5 needles? The good news are - you can crochet them! A pair of crocheted socks will be a wonderful gift for yourself and your loved ones! These will be perfect as boot socks too!
Skill level: easy/intermediate
Size:
You can make them in any size as the length of the foot part is very easy adjustable. The cuff part is written for two sizes S/M and L.
Materials:
- 100-150g or 450-650yards of sport weight yarn or sock yarn (for sample I used 100% merino wool yarn) in main color
- small amount of contrasting color (white or ecru) – sport weight or lace weight yarn
- crochet hook 3.5mm (E), or size needed to obtain gauge
- 4 small buttons
- tapestry needle
- stitch markers (optional)
Gauge:
10dc and 5 rows = 2 inches
Stitches and abbreviations:
st(s) – stitch(es)
ch – chain stitch
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
sl st - slip stitch
sp – space
RS – right side
WS – wrong side
