SPECIAL TECHNIQUES
German Short Rows
Work the number of stitches called for in the pattern. Turn the work.
Create Double Stitch (CDS): With yarn in front, slip the first stitch purl wise. Tug the yarn up and over the needle. This creates a “double” stitch.
To complete the short row, knit or purl the entire row, working double stitches together (KDS or PDS).
Stranded Colour-work
Work two colours of yarn in the same row. The floats are carried across the back of the work.
