Lumi 5 snowflake
INSPIRATION:
I love winter and snow and find it fascinating how each snowflake differs from the other one.
My design Lumi 5 is inspired by the crisp geometry of frosted winter windows. With its balanced points and delicate detailing, it’s a versatile snowflake motif that captures the magic of the season. Perfect for decorating Christmas trees, attaching to gifts, or creating timeless festive garlands, this design adds a handmade sparkle to your winter décor.
YARN, HOOK AND NOTIONS:
This snowflake is worked with DK (size 3) yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook, but you can adjust the look and size by experimenting with different yarns and hook sizes. You’ll also need a yarn needle and scissors to finish. Blocking or stiffening is optional if you’d like your snowflake to hold a crisp shape for hanging or display.
ABOUT THE PATTERN:
Written in US crochet terms, this confident beginner pattern uses simple stitches such as chains, single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, and the V-stitch, worked in the round. A step-by-step video tutorial is included for extra guidance, making it a friendly project for adventurous beginners and quick, satisfying work for more experienced crocheters. The design works up quickly, so you can make a flurry of snowflakes for holiday gifts, craft fairs, or seasonal decorations.
The pattern is for personal use only, but you are welcome to sell finished snowflakes made from it—just credit Luna Crochet Designs when sharing your work.
