Lucien Hat is a striped slouchy beanie with a clever color management technique that produces no jagged seams, no typical color changes, and no color floats! You can wear it slouchy or fold up the bottom to make your ears extra toasty.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate

Available Sizes: Preemie, Baby, Child, Tween, Adult

Finished Measurements: Hat circumference 8 ¼, 12 ½, 14 ½, 16 ¾, 18 ¾ inches; Hat length 7, 8 ½, 11 ¼, 14, 14 ¾ inches.

Yarn: Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash Sport (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 136.5 yds; 50 g; yarn weight category: 3/Light/DK) : 1 skein (color A).

And 220 Superwash Sport Wave (100% Superwash Merino Wool; 273 yds; 100 g; yarn weight category: 3/Light/DK): 1 skein (color B).

For the photographed hats I paired #871 White with #119 Wildflower and #1913 Jet with #122 Bird of Paradise.

Yardage: You will need 25, 45, 53, 90, 111] yds of each color.

Crochet Hook: H (5 mm), or size needed to match gauge.

Notions: 2 Locking stitch markers in different colors, tapestry needle, ½ inch button, sewing needle and thread to match color A, faux fur pom

Gauge: 5 rnds of crown = 4 inches in diameter at widest point
