Litz Beret
The classic beret shape of this adorable hat is offset by triangular panels and neatly twisting, braided cables. Worked in a busy yarn, these details are a surprise upon closer inspection: knit this hat in a more subtle semi-solid for a classic look.
Sizes: S/M M/L
Circumference: 42 48 cm.
Depth: 20 20cm.
Yarn: Kettle Yarn Co Beyul Fingering, Baby Yak/Silk/ethically sourced superwash
Merino; 1 1 skeins.
100g = 366 meters (400 yards)
Colourway: Bronze
Tension: 28 sts and 34 rows to 10 cm/4” square over stocking stitch using 3.5 mm needles.
Needles: 2.5 mm and 3.5 mm circular needles using magic loop or DPNs for smaller circumferences.
Notions: 1 cable needle (3.5 mm), 1 stitch marker.
This pattern was featured in the May 2018 Artisan Crate from Knitcrate using Tree Wool by Fibre Artist in colourway Catalyst.
