Pattern No. 3 in the Latvian Fusion Sock Club.
These elegant lace socks, worked in a white, natural yarn, are typical of socks worn by Latvian maidens when wearing their traditional costumes.
The lace motif is a variation of the “Broom” symbol, representing the fir and pine needle. It is associated with the mythical figure “Laima” and is considered a symbol of fertility, long life, and health.
