Socks are knit from cuff to toe with an afterthought heel. Instructions are written for dpns but can
be adapted to any type of needles appropriate for sock knitting. If using dpns, any length may be
used, however, shorter ‘sock needles’ are easiest to maneuver because the stitches won’t easily
slip out of the work and the needles not in use don’t get in the way. Sock needles are lighter
weight as well.
