Inishmann Vest
NOTE: This design was originally published by Knit Picks in their Woodsmoke Collection. The initial 2-year period of exclusivity with KP. ended and so I have revised the text to clean up any ambiguities and errors. This is the most current version of the design.
**
Named for the middle of the three Aran Islands, this vest will give the extra layer of warmth you need to keep out even the most brisk of sea-borne winds.
The single color and intricate cabling maintains the tradition of the time-honored Aran Sweater, with tweed to provide an interesting twist on the conventional look that doesn’t take the spotlight from the show-stopping cable motifs.
Designed to minimize the fussiness of finishing, this vest is knit flat in a single piece. With no seams and self-finished edges - i-cord around the armholes and garter stitch at the front openings - you’ll have this ready to wear in no time.
This pattern includes both written instructions and full charts.
