Inge socks
Inge sock is a sock knitted with a beautiful decorative band of mosaic knitting on the leg. With this sock, you can choose whether you want to knit a very short sock or a sock with a longer leg. The mosaic pattern can be knitted over just a few rows or used to adorn the entire leg, and you can choose to knit with just two or with more colors.
Note! You will need to find the pattern colors for the mosaic pattern in your leftover yarn scraps! The pattern colors do not require the extra strength of the sock yarn, as they are only used for the leg of the sock. Therefore, you can choose another yarn from your leftover yarn scraps with a yardage of 420 meters / 459 yards per 100 g. You will need 22 meters / 24 yards equivalent to 5 g per pattern color for all sizes.
Designed by Inge-Lis Holst for Önling

Procedure
The sock is constructed with a classic reinforced heel flap and gusset, which provides both durability and a snug, comfortable fit. The foot is worked in smooth stockinette stitch, allowing the mosaic design on the leg to stand out as a decorative feature. The toe shaping is done gradually for a rounded finish and is completed with grafting (Kitchener stitch) for a seamless result.
The sock is knitted using circular needles with the magic loop method, but can of course be knitted with double-pointed needles if you prefer.
