Honeycomb Snowflakes come in two sizes, big and small. To give you an idea here are their sizes, worked in No. 10 crochet cotton:

Big Honeycomb Snowflake: about 4 1/8”/10.5 cm across,
Small Honeycomb Snowflake: about 2 7/8”/7.2 cm across.

One ball of crochet cotton will make many snowflakes.

I made the samples shown in the photo in heavier No. 5 cotton, No. 10 cotton, and tiny No. 30 cotton. I give the hook sizes I used. You choose a hook that gives you a firm gauge with your chosen cotton.
