This cozy and modern knit capelet is worked seamlessly in the round and finished with a snug ribbed turtleneck. With a shape that drapes like a poncho and fits like a shoulder warmer, it’s a versatile piece that can be styled as a cape, cowl, or even a hooded tube scarf.

The construction begins with two flat panels in 1x1 rib (a shorter front and a taller back), which are then joined in the round. The rest of the cape is worked bottom-up in stockinette with optional contrast color stripes, followed by shaped shoulders and a high ribbed collar.

Knit in bulky yarn, this project works up quickly and makes an excellent gift or cold-weather staple.
Perfect no-seam shoulder warmer for all figure types.

Skills Needed: knitting in the round, basic increases/decreases, ribbing.
