Ginger Glad Hat
Are you ready to call in a good snow day? Need a break and a breather from the hustle??
Up here in the Great Lakes region, we’ve had a smoky, forest-firey summer and a record-breakingly hot fall.
So when a school cancelling, fort building pile of great, big snowflakes piled up outside of my window in early December, I felt so totally glad! With most cars staying safely off of nearby roads and the drought-scorched landscape being softened, the snowstorm cloaked us in quiet and stillness. And I couldn’t wait to save the glad memory of that with my needles.
I chose a worsted weight yarn in a ginger shade that matched the season to knit my hat but this motif could be so sweet in red or green or teal… I recently made a second version in black and white! This pattern is quick to knit and kind to give. May knitting this hat bring you glad feelings and good times.
