Garden Party Hat (CH18)
by Bev Galeskas
Sizes: Small, Medium, and Large; to fit head size of approximately 18.5” (20”, 21”). Tie allows the hat to be adjusted to fit a smaller head.
Yarn Requirements: Use a worsted weight yarn that would normally knit to gauge of 20 sts to 4”. Hat is worked at a tighter gauge to give extra firmness. Approximate yardage needed: 165 (185, 210) yards of main color, plus a small amount of contrast if you want a two color flower and contrasting tie as shown in original pattern photo.
Needles: For hat, a 16” circular needle and a set of double pointed needles in size 4 (3.5 mm), or size needed to obtain gauge.
For flower, a pair of straight needles in size 6 (4 mm).
For tie, a crochet hook size G (4.5 mm).
