Galsang flowers are common wildflowers with strong vitality and withstand harsh environments on the Tibetan plateau. In Tibetan, Galsang means good times or happiness, so the Galsang flower is also called the flower of happiness.

Knitted with Shangdrok Silky Yak, this seamless top-down tank top has a good balance of coolness and warmth against the skin. The soft fabric has a lovely sheen and drape that express the quality of a yarn made with smooth silk and precious yak fibres. It is so comfortable that you will love wearing it close to the skin. The neckline and armholes are designed for comfort and ease of movement. When you need more cover, layer a light shawl or a pullover with shawl-like lightness that stays on your body, like the Wild Forests pullover. NEEDLES

One 3.25 mm / US 3 circular needle, 60 cm / 24” or longer.
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.

NOTIONS

Stitch markers, stitch holder or waste yarn, tapestry needle for weaving in ends.

GAUGE (after blocking)

27 sts and 34 rows = 10 cm / 4” in Stockinette st with 3.25 mm / US 3 needle.

NOTE

The right and left shoulders of the back are worked from the top with short row shaping. A flower lace joins both sides to form the neckline before the back continues with further shaping for the armholes. The front is picked up and knitted from the shoulders of the back. The same flower lace joins both shoulders to form the neckline. After the front and back are joined at the underarm, the piece is worked in the round to the hem. The hem is finished with the flower lace.

織圖說明 / NOTE

Galsang從後背開始，由上往下編織，以短行分別塑形出左、右肩膀後，編織蕾絲花朵針連接左右兩側的織片形成後領口，然後完成後片袖洞塑形，接著從後背肩膀位置挑針並編織前片，以同樣的蕾絲花朵針連接左右兩側的織片形成前領口，在腋下位置連接前、後片並圈織至下襬，最後以蕾絲花朵針結束。
