I think a knitted star cushion/ pillow is the most givable knitted ‘thingy’ you could give - and with sooo many combinations yarn-wise/ colour-wise -
What’s not to love?

You could make them teeny too for a cool car ‘thingy’ - cum - key ‘thingy’…

Also - I know it’s number 5 but there will be more to come…
