Daenah Blanket
I wanted to design a small blanket that could be used to place over a lap without being bulky or trailing on the ground. I worked the blanket as a square, starting at the centre, using some of my favourite crochet stitches: popcorns, back and front post trebles, and back loop stitches. I wanted the design to be relatively straight forward, so that I could enjoy the rhythm of the stitches without constantly referring to the pattern, but that also included a little challenge. I used one Stylecraft Batik Swirl on a 4mm hook. The picture shows two blankets, one worked in shade Meadow and the other in shade Forest. A bigger blanket could be made by working four (or more) of these panels and stitching them together. Pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
