These socks close 13 years of Sock Madness.
Once upon a time I came across a stitch pattern -- a colorwork stitch pattern -- that wouldn’t jog at the beginning of the round. And it even worked for a sock!
But didn’t for the second. So I spent couple of years searching and seeking for the ways to complete a pair.
Techniques used:
- stranded knitting
- stranded purling or knitting back backwards
- Elastic Crocheted Cast-On (explained in pattern)
- Heel stitch/Eye of Partridge stitch
- modified Star toe
Yarn usage:
- Vita Brilliant (MC): 1 skein in #4963 light grey – about 2/3 of skein was used1
- Vita Brilliant Print (CC): 1 skein in #2605 brown-blurple-grey variegated – about 1/3 of skein was used
-
If you use accent color then expect to substitute about 40% of MC used with AC. ↩
