This pattern is worked side-ways and sewn up. There is a series of short rows that form the thumb gusset to make this a unique pattern. This fits any size, as you just knit until it is large enough to go around your hand. This is also a fairly simple design, the only advanced step being the picot bind off and short rows.

This pattern is also very easy to modify to a large or smaller gauge. It will just be longer or shorter depending. If your yarn is drastically different, consider adding or subtracting to the short rows so that your thumb gusset doesn’t get too distorted.
