I was looking over some skeins of cotton sock yarn and I began to wonder what would happen if I used self-striping yarn in a cowl pattern. As the cowl took shape, I noticed the colors collecting in unique groups or patches. These patches created the charming appearance of a patchwork crazy quilt.
