NOTE: Several knitters have made the observation that you can knit this by casting on an odd number of stitches and knitting in 2x2 ribbing. This offset ribbing doesn’t require a stitch marker and I felt that it might disorient newer knitters but please feel free to use that modification! As long as you can read your knitting, you’ll be fine.
