Construction
Inspired by Shetland Hap shawls, this cowl is worked flat with yarn overs being made on one side to
create shaping. Decreases are made on the second half to mirror the shaping and then the two ends
are seamed together. It features mosaic knitting on a garter stitch background. The construction of Cloud Drift takes inspiration from Shetland hap shawls.

When using shades close in value for the contrast colors, the simple mosaic design creates a gradient effect reminiscent of Sashiko patterns, highlighting the beauty of Shetland yarn held with a Japanese milled yarn.
