Classic Knit for Kids T-Top Sweater
Any worsted weight yarn can be used.
This pattern is constructed in 2 identical T-shaped pieces and seamed. The lower part, up to the sleeves, is stockinette stitch (knit on right side, purl on wrong side; the yoke/sleeves is garter stitch (knit all rows).
Child’s sizes 2 (4, 6, 8, 10)
Medium/Worsted-Weight Wool or Acrylic
Amount: 10 (12, 13, 14, 16) ounces
Total Yardage: 525 (580, 700, 715, 935) yards
Knitting needles sizes US 5 (3.75mm) for bottom border
and US 7 (4.5 mm) for body
Gauge: 20 sts x 26 rows = 4”
