I had an idea to design and knit a very delicate pullover for myself. As I considered this, trying to picture it worn with different outfit pieces, I decided that it would look nice as an underlayer with a tailored vest or jumper. I also thought that if I worked it in a very soft neutral color, it would go very well with many different colors of bottoms. This idea crystalized when I saw a lace garment similar to what I had pictured for my own design; and when I saw that this issue of Cast On would have a lace theme, I submitted my proposal.
