Calton Cap
by Kristen Orme
This cozy cap transitions from from mistake rib to fishermen rib. By mixing different weights of yarn you can create your own unique blend.
Yarn:
Aran weight (if solid) - or -
3 strands 4-ply (if marled) - or -
1 strand 4-ply plus 1 strand DK (if marled)
About 100 grams of yarn required total.
The yarn I used for the cap pictures was from Shetland Organics. I used 1 strand of their 2-ply in light grey, plus 1 strand of their 2-ply in smirslett. The weight of the 2-ply was comparable to a slightly thicker 4-ply weight.
This is an exclusive pattern from the Autumn/Winter 2012-13 collection of Kristen Orme knitwear.
