This is an easy knit beanie and booties with a very easy colour stranded pattern in the style of chequered flags or finishing tapes.

The booties are knitted like mini socks and a great way to practice this technique if you have never tried sock knitting before. There is a simple table with a sock formula to help make socks in other sizes.

The white yarn is actually off-white; cream can be used too. There are instructions to help you size the set up for older babies if you wish.
