These flared shorts were designed for my college senior collection entitled, “All Dolled Up.” The shorts are flared at the leg and feature a cable panel that runs down the left and right sides. Choose a size that is 0-2” smaller than your actual measurements.
To Fit Ladies Size:
S, (M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL)
Approximate Finished Waist Circumference:
24”, (28, 32, 36, 40, 44)
Approximate Finished Hip Circumference:
36”, (40, 44, 48, 52, 56)
Length: 12 ¼”, (12 ¾, 13 ¼, 13 ¾, 14 ¼, 14 ¾)
Materials
- 485, (575, 660, 765, 870, 980) yards I used Noro Kureyon (100% wool, 110 yds/50G ball) color 184.
(Since Kureyon is a striping yarn, it is desirable to get an extra ball of yarn so that colors can be matched up accordingly. You don’t need to do this if you are using a solid color.)
- US Size 4 (3.5mm) and 7 (4.5mm)- 24” length circular
- 1 spare knitting needle (circular or straight) in US Size 11 (8mm) needle
- 2 stitch holders
- 3 ring markers, 2 of same color to m berry vine pattern and one of another to m beg of round
- Cable needle
- 1” wide elastic in length to suit waist
Gauge
20 sts, 28 rows = 4” in st st stitch & 1x1 ribbing on US Size 7 (4.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge.
22.6 sts, 24 rows = 4” in Berry Vine Pattern on US Size 7 (4.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge.
