Butterfly Lace Scarf
by Alice Tang
Errata available:
web.archive.org
The Butterfly Lace Scarf balances the very open lace of the butterfly stitch with the beautiful halo of mohair to create texture and visual substance. The long floats are made by double yarn overs which are easier and quicker than dropping stitches, especially when working with mohair yarn. Although it may look tricky at first, it’s actually quite easy to knit with impressive results.
Each pattern repeat is about 1.25” tall and 1.5: wide blocked. Gauge is not critical.
Errata: Row 8: the k2 at the end of the instructions should be inside the parenthesis, not outside.
