The mock cables on these cosy mitts grow like ears of corn, leaves or flames up the hand and thumb, giving a bit of extra stretch. They are named for Brigid the Celtic goddess of arts and crafts and blacksmithing.
Increase the needles size to 3mm for a larger mitten.
This pattern is a great stash buster – the mitts require 40g of yarn so are great for using up stray balls of 4ply yarn. And you can make the mitts and the matching Brigid beanie from one 100g skein of 4-ply yarn.
The two patterns are available in a buy one, get one half price bundle. Click here for details.
