BRIDGE TO BLISS:
This shawl started as a tribute to Nashville and the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge. It was inspired by Melissa Leapman and created to be launched at her Knitopia Nashville 2023 event. Well, as all things in life happen, it morphed into the design presented here. Carrying along some of the themes and ideas I gleaned from studying the beautiful bridge. And inspirations that sparked me as I began working. Created in plant fiber blends, this design would also work nicely in any yarn. If changing yarns or yarn weights, please make sure to adjust your needle size, gauge and amount of yarn needed to complete this design with your vision. The name reflects my personal growth and attempts to move forward from difficult person upheaval that impacted me in the fall of 2022. I am trying to use adversity to move myself on to a better place.
NEEDLES & GAUGE:
US 5 / 3.75 mm needles. The project grows from 3 sts stitches to almost 400. I love having interchangeable needles so I can change cable lengths. If you do not have this option and need to purchase needles, I suggest buying the longest cable you can. GAUGE uses US 5/ 3.75 mm in Stockinette, before blocking.
SIZE:
Approximately 32” - 36” high & 58” wide at the top (depending on blocking & yardage)
NOTIONS:
A yarn sewing needle or crochet hook for tucking in ends. Markers, some removable.
