Billa Pullover is a simple pullover with a wide, round neckline and long sleeves. It’s worked in Stockinette stitch with rolled edges at the bottom of the body and sleeves. The highlights are the color-blocks on the lower body and the stripes on the sleeves, which provide the opportunity to combine your favorite colors. The pullover is worked top-down in one piece, in the round. After a few short rows for neck shaping, the shoulder section is worked with increases to achieve the cross-back width. Sleeve increases, and later, body increases are then worked until the armhole depth is reached. The sleeve stitches are put on hold, and the lower body is finished without shaping; however, the pattern contains optional instructions for working the lower body with slight A-Line shaping, if desired. Stitches are picked up around the neckline and bound off with an I-Cord. Finally, the sleeves are worked in the round.

Billa Pullover ist ein simpler Pullover mit einem weiten Rundhalsausschnitt und langen Ärmeln. Er ist glatt rechts gestrickt und hat schlichte Rollbündchen als Abschlüsse unten am Pullover und an den Ärmeln. Die Highlights sind die Farbblöcke im unteren Pulloverbereich und die Streifen an den Ärmeln, welche die Möglichkeit bieten, alle Lieblingsfarben zu kombinieren. Der Pullover wird von oben nach unten in einem Stück in der Runde gestrickt. Nach einigen verkürzten Reihen für die Formung des Halsausschnittes wird die Schulterpartie mit Zunahmen bis zum Erreichen der Rückenbreite gearbeitet. Danach wird mit Zunahmen an den Ärmeln und später am Vorder- und Rückenteil bis zur Armlochtiefe gestrickt. Anschließend werden die Ärmelmaschen stillgelegt und der gerade untere Pulloverbereich wird fertiggestellt. Optional enthält die Anleitung Angaben für eine leichte A-Linie. Rund um den Halsausschnitt werden Maschen herausgestrickt und mit einem I-Cord abgekettet. Zuletzt werden die Ärmel in der Runde gestrickt.

Yarn and colors/Garn und Farben:
The pattern is written for working with two strands of yarn held together – a fingering-weight yarn and a fluffy, lace-weight yarn. The marled effect of the first color-block and the stripes on the sleeves are achieved by holding two different colors together for these sections. See last photo for the color distribution. Of course, it’s also possible to work the pullover with single strands of DK-weight yarn in your favorite colors.

Die Anleitung ist für doppelfädiges Stricken geschrieben – ein Garn in Sockenwoll-Stärke wird gemeinsam mit einem fluffigen Lace-Garn verstrickt. Der melierte Effekt des ersten Farbblocks und der Streifen entsteht durch das Verwenden von zwei unterschiedlichen Farben für diese Partien. Siehe das vorletzte Foto für die Farbverteilung. Natürlich kann der Pullover auch einfädig mit einem Garn in DK-Stärke in den Lieblingsfarben gestrickt werden.
