Basic Bonnet
by Megan Meyer
Use this crochet pattern to make a fast and easy bonnet in any size newborn through adult.
This easy crochet pattern is suitable for a beginner. The abbreviations/stitches used in this pattern include: magic circle, ch, sl st, SC, SC2Tog, DC and DC2Tog.
This pattern requires approx. 45-115 yds. of worsted weight (Category 4) yarn depending on size. The sample pictured uses Red Heart With Love. You will also need a 5.5 mm crochet hook.
These bonnets are easily embellished and make a great starting place for a DIY costume.
Please note: The ties on the bonnet are optional, and should not be used on bonnets for babies or toddlers.
