Barocco
When designing this sweater, I had in mind the beautiful, richly decorated ceilings (sometime almost excessive) that the Italian artistic Barocco style produced few centuries ago.
Barocco sweater has a simple top down construction with circular yoke, and an A line shaped body in simple stockinette stitch, like the sleeves.
The only unique precious detail is the circular yoke motif, worked in a two color slipped stitch/ textured pattern, that recalls Baroque golden ceilings decorations.
The yarn I used for my sample, YAMA Fibre Art DK Luxe, gave to the yoke a special look and contributed to make this piece a real little treasure.
