Backrush
by Kate Agner
Backrush is meant to look like the return of water towards the ocean after a wave. Like a backrush, this pattern is meant to be a little bit of a challenge. It combines lace with knitting side to side as you increase or decrease. Finished piece will be a rectangle with lovely edging created as you knit. This pattern is great for variegated and striping yarns to really show off the pattern being knit in an interesting direction, but looks fun in all yarns.
