Autumn Leaves Tammy Hat
This pattern was designed and launched to coincide with Perth Festival of Yarn 2017.
This is a Tammy Hat which is knit from the bottom up and in the round. There are charts for working the stranded patterns. There is a folded corrugated rib welt / headband. The hat is shaped using increases and decreases.
Size – To fit a medium size head (22-23” / 56-58.5cm circumference).
Gauge – 32 stitches and 32 rows to 10cm square measured over pattern using 3.25mm needles.
Materials – Whilst I recommend Jamieson of Shetland “Spindrift” 4ply Shetland Wool, you could use any wool equivalent to 4ply / Fingering weight, assuming you can achieve the correct tension. You will need 2 x 25g balls of the main colour and small amounts (or a 25g ball of each if your stash needs feeding!) of the remaining 7 colours. Patterns are worked using charts.
