Amalfi is a lacy cardigan that is all about options. The pattern includes instructions for a color block cardigan in two colors as well as a solid cardigan, for two different types of raglan yokes, and for short sleeves and three-quarter length sleeves.

The yoke can be worked as a traditional raglan with diagonal raglan lines or in a way that is similar to a regular raglan, but with the increases spaced differently to create a more rounded raglan line. The latter mimics the shape of the seam of set-in sleeves and can be seen in the two color, short-sleeve cardigan in the photos, while the solid color cardigan shows the traditional raglan yoke. A wide lace border sits above the bottom hem and sweet and simple garter stitch decorates the collar and sleeve edges.

It’s cute when buttoned all the way up, with the top buttons undone as well as worn entirely open. Pick your style! Knit from the top down, Amalfi is seamless and perfectly summery in a fingering weight.

PATTERN NOTES
The cardigan is knit from the top down, working back and forth on a circular needle with raglan increases. The sleeves are worked in the round on a set of double pointed needles.

The pattern includes detailed instructions as well as a link to a photo tutorial on how to work the raglan yoke with the more rounded raglan lines. In the pattern this is called the rounded raglan technique. Instructions for a traditional raglan yoke with diagonal raglan lines are also provided.
