I have been a knitwear/fashion designer and author for many years as well as teaching knitting and crochet and lecturing in fashion and fashion history, which is my particular interest. I gain much of my inspiration by looking back and interpreting these ideas for today.

I am the author of a number of books including The Vintage Shetland Project, A Stitch in Time, Vintage Knitting & Crochet Patterns, 1920-1949 and A Stitch in Time Volume 2, 1930-1959 and also have my own range of yarns.
